The Cast of Plastic...

Here's what you missed out on as our Facebook competition winner got whisked off to meet the stars of the feature film "Plastic" during their first days of filming.

(left to right: Will Poulter, Ed Speleers, Sebastian De Souza, Siobhan Cockfield (Our Lucky Winner), Alfie Allen)

Here's what she had to say about it all...

The experience was incredible. Travelling out to a hidden location and getting access into this underground world of filming was just so surreal.

I arrived on-set and was greeted by the lovely, very busy crew members and shown areas of the set that people never see like the art studio, prop store and production rooms, before being ferried by a buggy down to the live action.
Stood behind the director, I was allowed to watch the film on the monitor as they shot the scenes and is just unbelievable to think I was actually there and watching parts of the film PLASTIC being created!

I was then lucky enough to meet the lead male actors Ed Speleers, Will Poulter, Alfie Allen and Sebastian de Souza who were all lovely and friendly and even more gorgeous in real life. So surreal! I was even asked to put myself forward to the cast team for an extras part.

Most definitely upgrading to VIP!
You gain access into a private world most people only dream of seeing and you watch the magic being created right in front of you! I was even given a couple of mementos of the film to take home with me
As a film lover, this experience was like no other…am definitely going VIP.

Martin Freeman records Saving Santa...

Wednesday 29th August. An ordinary day for some, but not for Samantha Jones! The lucky winner of Filmlounge.com's VIP Experience giveaway, who along with a friend got the opportunity to meet and gossip with Martin Freeman himself. Here's what she had to say about the occasion...

What did you think of the experience?

It was a great good opportunity and really surreal. He came in and introduced himself as Martin and I just squealed and said “I know who you are!” We saw him recording lines for the animated film Saving Santa. It was funny because they recorded the lines 4 months ago, but he’s been in New Zealand filming the Hobbit, so today was the only day they could go over what the missed before he flies back out.

What was Martin like?

He was really friendly and down to earth, but a bit shorter than I expected him to be. I don’t want to sound like a creepy stalker, but he smelled nice too!

What did you talk about?

The Hobbit! It’s now going to be split into three films and I felt like I was getting the inside scoop hearing it directly from Martin. We talked a lot about his role in Sherlock, there’s a new season coming out. I’m so excited about that! We also talked about Saving Santa, I’m really looking forward to that coming out as Martin told us all about the plot and story line!

After this experience would you buy a Film Lounge VIP membership?

Absolutely. There’s nothing more to it, it was just the best! I’m even getting a copy of the script for Saving Santa signed and sent out to me, thanks so much!

If you want this to be you then stay tuned at Filmlounge.com for our next fantastic VIP experience giveaway. If you're eager to meet the stars without leaving it to chance then subscribe to our VIP membership where amazing events are waiting to be given away...

Short Films at Filmlounge.com

We are currently in the process of collating good quality short films from talented film makers. With an aim to promote the independent film industry Filmlounge.com host the short movies on behalf of directors.

We provide the directors the platform for them to contact their target audience (both film companies/producers and viewers)

Being in a unique position of having the ear of some of the UK’s leading film makers and distribution companies Filmlounge.com’s short film pages are an ideal forum for the innovative, creative, and expressive short movie makers to tout their wares.

‘TIP JAR’ Donations

We provide a ‘tip jar’ associated to each short film. This is a voluntary method for viewers to contribute to the pockets of the mostly broke film makers! We hope that the viewing public are mostly generous souls. We would like to think that viewers appreciate the art, which is usually created wholeheartedly at the director’s expense, with smallest of film makers doing it for the love of film, and we hope that our community contribute generously so that they may continue to entertain us.

Make sure you tip for good service!

Earning Filmlounge Credits is easy! You can earn credits in a number of ways.

  • Write a review of a movie of more than 300 words and you’ll earn 3 credit.
  • Recommended a friend to join the Film Lounge club you’ll earn 3 credits.
  • Pay to watch a movie and you’ll earn 5 credits.

3. How do I watch a movie with my console?

As long as you have internet and have a working browser just simply go to Filmlounge.com, register, pick your movie and stream on line – or download the movie in the suitable format.

4. How do I pay for a movie?

We are currently using Paypal for our payment gateway, although you do not have to have a Paypal account so you can use any major credit card and of course pay directly from your paypal account.

5. If I don’t like the movie can I get a refund or my money back?

No, unfortunately everybody has different taste in movies and therefore we cannot offer any form of refund if you do not enjoy the movie – please read our own reviews of the movies as this will give you an indication of the content and rating we have given the movie – Filmlounge do however aim to bring the best in cult and violent genre movies to our users.

6. Can I watch movies on my IPhone or IPad

Filmlounge is compatible with both the Iphone 3, 3GS, 4 and IPad and IPad 2. The streaming service plays automatically without any need for app download, just use Safari to browse and find you film, pay for it and press play, for downloading you must download the file to your PC or MAC and then place the file across into your iTunes account, this will then sync the film onto your device for future viewing.

7. If I am streaming or downloading a movie and my internet connection is interrupted, can I still go back and watch it?

Yes, we have a 48hour time allocation for you to watch your movie, and therefore you can refresh and watch your movie within 24 hours of purchase. 8. Do I need to download anything or run software to download or watch movies?

We have tried to make Filmlounge as simple to use as possible, and our unique detection script automatically feeds you the correct movie type – we do recommend having the latest version of your web browser and flash player to ensure compatibility and there maybe some minor bugs with old versions of browsers and operating systems, such as systems prior to Windows XP.

9. Can I stream movies without an internet connection?

No, the live streaming runs from the internet, the movies do buffer and therefore you can pause, allow buffering and watch from the buffer or you can download the file and save for viewing at a later date.

10. How big is an average movie?

At DVD quality an average movie is 2GB in size – so please be aware if you have any broadband download limitations.

11. If I find the movie pauses and has some delays while watching what do I do?

This can occur if other users in your household are also using your connection and limiting your broadband speed, or if you have a broadband speed lower than 4 MB you may have some buffering issues. To resolve this allow the movie to buffer slightly before playing and this will ensure smooth playback.

12. Can I stream in high definition?

All our movies are either Native High Definition or upscaled 720 HD. High definition offers a sharper clearer picture and therefore all movies on Filmlounge.com are provided in this format for your viewing pleasure.

13. Can I download in high definition?

Yes, for films available to download the majority will have high definition versions of the movie – the majority of these will be 720p, however some exclusive and special titles will be available in full 1080 HD.

14. Can I change my details and password?

Yes, simply go to “My Account” and you can change all your details.

Filmlounge.com endeavours to be a simple to use system, compatible with a wide range of devices. Currently Filmlounge.comsupports PCMAC, PS3 and XBox 360 platforms, High Definition streaming and download will be coming soon as well as mobile support.

Below is a list of recently asked questions, although should you have any questions please contact us at support@filmlounge.com

FAQ.

1. How do I watch a movie with my console?

As long as you have internet and have a working browser just simply go to Filmlounge.com, register, pick your movie and stream on line – or download the movie in the suitable format.

2. How do I pay for a movie?

We are currently using Paypal for our payment gateway, although you do not have to have a Paypal account so you can use any major credit card and of course pay directly from your Paypal account.

4. Can I watch movies on my IPhone or IPad

Filmlounge is compatible with both the Iphone 3, 3GS, 4 and IPad and IPad 2.  The streaming service plays automatically without any need for app download, just use safari to browse and find you film, pay for it and press play, for downloading you must download the file to your PC or MAC and then place the file across into you ITunes account, this will then sync the film onto your device for future viewing.

5. If I am streaming or downloading a movie and my internet connection is interrupted, can I still go back and watch it?

Yes, we have a 24 hour time allocation for you to watch your movie, and therefore you can refresh and watch your movie within 24 hours of purchase. Downloads will remain in your my account folder for download until you have successfully downloaded the whole movie at which time the download window will be closed.

7. Can I stream movies without an internet connection?

No, the live streaming runs from the internet, the movies do buffer and therefore you can pause, allow buffering and watch from the buffer or you can download the file and save for viewing at a later date.

8. How big is an average movie?

At DVD quality an average movie is 1.5GB in size – so please be aware if you have any broadband download limitations.

10. Can I stream in high definition?

All our movies are either Native High Definition or upscaled 720 HD.  High definition offers a sharper clearer picture and therefore all movies on Filmlounge are provided in this format for your viewing pleasure.

11. Can I download in high definition?

Yes, for films available to download the majority will have high definition versions of the movie – the majority of these will be 720p, however some exclusive and special titles will be available in full 1080 HD.

12. Can I change my details and password?

Yes, simply go to “My Account” and you can change all your details.
